2006 Workshops Submission Information

Please submit topic suggestions to be presented as a workshop. Or, if you are interested in presenting a Summit Workshop now is your chance to offer your knowledge to others.

Included with all Submission your Synopsis/Abstract, Bio and Workshop Handouts:

Safety 'N Kids requires all workshop presenters to include a synopsis/abstract of your presentation and the handouts (English and Spanish). Please include with Workshop Submission Form:

Submission Form. Please contact Safety 'N Kids if you have trouble in meeting these requirements. Please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting your synopsis/handouts:

  • Presenter Submission Form:
  • Safety 'N Kids accepts only electronic
    • Abstract of the Workshop
    • Short Bio
    • Handouts in English and Spanish
  • if accepted as a presenter your document(s) will be included on the Summit CD and will be posted to the website a month after the Summit. Or, it is optional to bring 100 copies of you handout(s) to the Summit for each workshop. Safety 'N Kids cannot provide copy services. Commercial services are available at your own expense through the hotel
  • Document title: should have the same title as on your workshop topic submission, plus your name
  • Format of electronic workshop submissions, form, handouts and synopsis: Microsoft Word or Excel and Adobe PDF (non-fixed)
  • Typeset(font): Times Roman, Verdana or Arial no smaller than 10 point to ensure platform compatibility
  • Speaker and Workshop Presenter Disclaimer: By submitting your handouts to the Safety 'N Kids and its website, you agree to have your materials downloaded, printed and/or copied by website users. Safety 'N Kids, Los Angeles unified School District, city of Los Angeles and Youth Educational Sports are not responsible or liable for use or misuse of materials posted on the Safety 'N Kids website or on the Summit CD. All materials will be converted to a fixed PDF file.

Workshop Presenter Summit Discount

Presenters receive $100.00 discount off of the $250.00 Summit registration, same as the day of presenting is free.

Utilizing the Safety 'N Kids Website or Summit CD:

As a service to our presenters, Safety 'N Kids will post your synopsis and/or handout(s) on the website and give a CD copy to all Summit attendees, saving the cost and time of duplicating and bringing to the Summit. Attendees will simply open the Summit topic they are interested in the Summit CD or off the website.
